Here’s a guide to the live musical performances coming up at Riverside Beats of Streetfest on June 2nd , all along Queen Street from the DVP to Empire Ave.
Riverside’s Annual Eats & Beats Streetfest is back – this year on Saturday June 2nd alongside the 20th annual Riverdale Artwalk. Taste the Eats and feel the Beats in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood! Riverside’s Annual Streetfest spans 10 vibrant blocks along Queen Street East between the Don Valley Parkway to just past De Grassi Street.

Broadview Ave and Queen St. East
Enjoy performances from Turbo Street Funk at 1pm, DJ Beats from 2-2:45pm and then from 5pm onwards. At 2:45pm take part in a Charleston Lesson with Bees’ Knees Dance, then at 3pm put your skills to the test and get your swing dancing on with the Sugar Foot Stompers! At 4pm, Samba Toronto with keep you moving with Brazilian spirit of its drummers, percussionists and costumed dancer.
Carroll St. and Queen St. East
Munro St. and Queen St. East
Come to the festival’s Munro Street closure and lend your energy to bicycle-powered music from Tune Your Ride. At 1pm enjoy the famed Don Kerr, 2pm Blarg’s fun interactive tunes will delight the whole family, 3pm Abigail Lapell will hit the sweet spot with folk music lovers and at 4pm take a journey through hypnotic folk tunes/stories with Dana Sipos.
Saulter St. and Queen St. East
Come on down to Saulter St. and enjoy tunes to get you moving from 1-4pm as the Don Valley Stompers bring down the house with live New Orleans-style Jazz.
McGee St. and Queen St. East
From 1-5pm listen to Jenna & The Groove Tones perform classics and originals. At 3pm there will be a free drumming workshop by Kids “N” Treble.
