| Free

Come explore the changing dynamics of Riverside by learning about the many eras and styles of architecture it houses, representing over 100 years of Canadian history!

This guided tour will delve into how some of Riverside, Toronto’s infrastructure and buildings have changed use over time, providing historical context of how the neighbourhood developed, its current state, and future plans and potential.

About the Walk leader: Ron Fletcher is a local historian, Founder and President of the Riverdale Historical Society, Founder of the Riverdale Art Walk (now in its 20th year), Author of ‘Over the Don’ and a past Chair of the Riverside BIA.

Once you’re registered you will get an email (closer to the date) with walk start location and tips for making your walk a great experience.

This guided tour is part of the Riverside Walks, a series of free local walking tours throughout the spring, summer and fall (May-October). Our tours invite people from all across the city and the GTA, to come and explore the vibrant Riverside neighbourhood, located in Toronto along Queen Street East between the DVP and Empire Avenue. Our 2018 guided walks, sponsored by Team Sheppard Re/MAX Hallmark, showcase Riverside’s diverse culture and cater to a wide variety of interests. All walks are led by local residents and Riverside personalities.
