From 1-6pm on June 2nd, get moving with activities at our Munro Street Closure. Lend us your energy to power live tunes from our bicycle-powered music station provided by Tune Your Ride, including:

00pm: enjoy the famed Don Kerr, a prominent drummer and producer on the local indie-music scene for years. Having formed the band Communism, Kerr and two others celebrated their debut album Get Down Get Together in 2016. Their new album starts from the basic guitar/bass/drums/vocals setup, and plays with many different styles. There’s the 50s-y doo-wop of “One of Everyone,” the almost dance-punk frenzy of “Bye Bye Bees” and an easygoing 60s feel to “Forgiveness.” Look forward to lots of groovy tunes on Saturday June 2nd at 1pm.

00pm: Blarg’s fun interactive tunes will delight the whole family. There’s a bass. There’s a banjo. They’re a banjo / bass boy band. They are Blarg. This music will make you hop, smile and stay awhile

00pm: Abigail Lapell will hit the sweet spot with folk music lovers. Toronto folk noir songwriter Abigail Lapell draws from roots, indie and punk rock traditions. Hailed as an artist to watch by NOW Magazine, she’s toured across North America and Europe, performing on vocals, piano, harmonica and finger style guitar. Closer to home, she’s completed tours by bicycle, canoe and train. Listen to her “powerful, sweet voice” through bicycle powered speakers.

00pm: Take a journey through hypnotic folk tunes/stories with Dana Sipos. Sipos’ tenderly skewed songs are filled with a wild wind. She has been touring extensively in support of her Canadian Folk Music nominated album, receiving international acclaim and songwriting accolades. Get excited to hear some new music from Sipos during the festival.
