Hair Code owner Stavros Pappas has enjoyed watching Riverside evolve and grow (much like hair) since he opened his salon nearly a decade ago.
In 2010, the neighbourhood was home to far fewer restaurants and bakeries, not much night of a nightlife, and only one other hair salon – Broadview Beauty Parlour, located right next door. Still, there was a buzz about this particular stretch of Queen Street East that seemed exciting and inviting to Stavros.
“We always felt the vibrancy of the area with its historic and heritage buildings, as well as the strong sense of community,” he said. “Riverside has always felt right and we are very happy to see it grow.”
In addition to the successful development of Riverside, Hair Code has also grown as a business, much is part to do with his friendly, talented team of stylists. Clients are treated to a latte upon arrival, followed by a thorough consultation, and leave with a gorgeous new do.
Hair Code specializes in creating unique hairstyles that best match your unique personality and lifestyle.
“Our client’s satisfaction is what we always strive for,” says Stavros.
Over the past eight years, he’s watched Riverside undergo significant revitalization and gentrification, and is looking forward to what the future holds.
