Highlights of 2018 Riverside BIA Annual General Meeting

On Wednesday, October 3rd, Riverside BIA members and the community attended the 2018 Annual General Meeting.

BIA members and the community enjoyed a meet and greet, learned about and approved the 2019 BIA program and budget, elected the Board of Directors for 2019-22, gave out special awards to outstanding BIA members, took a look back on the highlights of Riverside BIA programs over 2015-18, and learned about the Streetscape Master Plan that will guide BIA investments in future.

Elections:
All current Riverside BIA Board members were nominated and elected again to the Board – a big thanks to Board members for their ongoing commitment, time and care to the success of the Riverside BIA, including:

  • Mitch Korman (Korman & Co), Natasha Varjacic (Real Estate Homeward), Ryan Nelson (Hullmark), Rosie Little (Quince), Dave Watson (Eastbound), Adrienne McRuvie (Oma), Athens Towers (Opera House), and Ellen Davidson (Dimensions)

The Award goes to…

  • Eastbound Brewing Co for their outstanding efforts on BIA events, social media, and promotions that earned them the Riverside BIA Marketing Award for 2018, and
  • Queen Garden Centre who earned the Riverside BIA Streetscape Award for 2018 for their amazing efforts that have beautified and enhanced the streetscape of Queen St East
