Queen Garden Centre

Jordan at Queen Garden Centre in Riverside says dream gardens and zen spaces are all about being one with nature. Awareness of soil quality, understanding of sun exposure, and practice with plants, in general, make the perfect garden.

“People continually come to us with this goal in mind, and we love assisting clients in that process,” says Jordan, noting all employees have a strong foundation in plant identification, garden maintenance, and landscape design.

“We sincerely try our best to help navigate people through any issues that they are experiencing,” he says. “All our staff has a love for gardens and we hope that passion shines through when we interact with the public.”

In addition to plant sales, on-site consultations, and garden installations – from greening up small balconies to and sprucing up backyards – Queen Garden Centre also specializes in tree planting and delivers/installs trees all over the city.

Jordan says the idea to open a garden centre in Riverside has been in the works for a while. However, it wasn’t until 2016, when the parking lot at the corner Queen and Saulter became available and with the newly completed Riverside Pollinator Mural by local artist Nick Sweetman barely dry as the backdrop. The timing couldn’t have been better, he says.
