Riverside is kicking off spring with our 5th annual Riverside Wine & Craft Beer Fest that will take place from Tuesday, April 2nd to Saturday, April 6th. Get to know Riverside shops, eateries and community spaces while enjoying Ontario wines and local craft beers – all in local Riverside venues. The 2019 five-day festival is made up of a variety of events that include wine/beer tastings, demonstrations, prix fixe dinners, and giveaways!
This year’s festival sponsors are Hullmark and Bentall Kennedy and supported by our festival partners Eastbound Brewing Co, Saulter Street Brewery, Toronto Food Tours, the Ralph Thornton Community Centre and All Wrapped Up Events.
Riverside’s Wine & Craft Beer Fest is a busy week filled with events and venues throughout the neighbourhood. Here we have put together what will be going on in Riverside from April 2nd to April 6th.
To start the week off join Voula Halliday at the Ralph Thornton Community Centre for FREE beer tasting and talks from local brewers Eastbound Brewing Co and Saulter Street Brewery. While enjoying some local beer and learning from Voula how to pair it with your favourite meals be sure to browse the books set out by the Queen/Saulter Street Library. If you are looking for somewhere to eat Tuesday night, Il Ponte Cucina Italiana is offering half-priced bottles of wine with your dinner. If you are looking for something lighter then head over to the Eastbound Brewing Co and enjoy $5 mussels and $5 pints. Be sure to take advantage of Tabule Middle Eastern Cuisine free corkage special on Tuesdays while enjoying a delicious meal.
If you are looking for something a little more unique, Ruby Watchco is hosting a Wine Pairing Dinner in their private dining space on April 2nd from 7-10pm. Tickets are $125 and can be reserved online here. To learn more about this event check out the event page here.

April 3rd is flight night on Riverside. Participating restaurants will have drink specials and prixe fixe dinners available for everyone. You can enjoy $1 an ounce wine at the Peasant Table during dinner time or grab a ticket to Ruby Watchco’s Beer Pairing dinner and see how executive Chef Lora Kirk pairs Riverside’s own Saulter Street Brewery together for a 4-course family-style dinner. Next up is Riverside’s Free Tasting Night Market along Queen Street East. Enjoy a self-guided tour from 6pm-8pm in any order you prefer. Be sure to grab your FREE ticket on our Eventbrite page here! And end off the night with a half priced bottle of wine at Jasper Dandy on April 4th.
On Friday Blood Brothers Brewing are taking over the taps at Ill Be Seeing You all day!! Be sure to stop by and try something new or grab dinner at White Lily Diner and enjoy half-priced wine with your meal.

Saturday, April 6th is Riverside Wine & Craft Beer Fest EXPO that is taking place at the Ralph Thornton Centre. Connect with people while tasting delicious Ontario wines and craft beer. The expo will have vendors of all sorts, a silent auction and educational talks. Come by from 2pm-5pm for a fun afternoon of beer, talks and tastings.
