Riverside Wine & Craft Beer Fest is an annual week-long celebration of wine and craft beer paired with local food and shopping. Wine and craft beer lovers can delight in tasting new and established Ontario wines and locally brewed craft beers, while getting to know Riverside shops, eateries and community spaces better. It’s essentially an Ontario wine and craft beer tour – right here in Riverside!
Riverside Wine & Craft Beer Fest’s last event will celebrate all things beer, wine and food with a FREE community EXPO on Saturday, April 6th. The Expo will be hosted at the Ralph Thornton Community Centre (765 Queen Street East, 2nd & 3rd floor) from 2-5pm for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoy an afternoon of local vendors, wineries, live music, and a silent auction.
Beginning at 2pm, the Expo will offer a variety of wine and craft beer tastings, you will also have the opportunity to connect with local brewers and winemakers across Ontario including Riverside’s own, Eastbound Brewing Co and Saulter Street Brewery.
2nd Floor Fun!
Be sure to stop by and try some delicious wine and craft beer tasting from wineries and breweries across Ontario. Enjoy a lovely Almanac white and red from Grange of Prince Edward, a family-run winery that began their journey in the Prince Edward County. Other wineries that will be sharing their craft at the Expo include Closson Chase, 3 Dogs Winery, Black Prince and Broken Stone. To learn more about the participating wineries and breweries for Riverside’s Wine & Craft Beer Fest read our full blog post here!
Riverside’s Wine & Craft Beer Fest would not be possible without our festival sponsors and partners. Throughout the second floor, you will be able to connect with our sponsors at their booth and learn about their ties to the community.
There will be pop up food vendors at the Expo for the afternoon, Animal Liberation Kitchen (ALK), The Sangweech Truck and Peas and Thank You. They will have a variety of delicious foods available for purchase. The ALK is a recent addition to the neighbourhood with their first brick and mortar shop at 717 1/2 Queen Street E. with great vegan options. The Sangweech truck is a Toronto based food truck that offers artisanal sandwiches focused on local, fresh ingredients and flavours, sourced from the best of Ontario’s farmers and food suppliers. Peas and Thank You is a vegan pop up that offers sweet and savoury treats made from local and sustainable produce.
You will be able to bid on Silent Auction items that have been donated by local businesses throughout Riverside.
Live music will be performed by The Lesters on the second floor all afternoon. The Lesters are a Toronto based, trio band that creates a blend of folk and pop music that is very pleasant on the ears. So grab a drink and enjoy the music!
