Take a LUNCH BREAK During The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside

The Beaches Int’l Jazz Festival is back in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood with The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside on July 6-8th, this year with an amazing new BLOCK PARTY!!! Make sure to take a lunch break while you take in the festivities!

Lunch can either be a drawn out affair, a 1- 2 hour social with friends or a quick grab and go when you really need to get on with your day. As a matter of fact, there are many great spots in Riverside to have an amazingly delicious lunch. Especially if you are here to check out the Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside Jazz Fest.

THE GRAB-AND-GO

In case you missed it, here’s the magic that is Sugar Loaf Bakery and Café. Everything is made in house and the menu choices are second to none. They even have salads in Mason Jars. How cool and delicious is that?

Next up is the Opera House Grill with its big sunny patio and amazing gyros. They do a really good job on cooked to order, made from scratch Greek Food!

If Indian is what your craving, Siddhartha Indian Cuisine makes a wicked Dosa and an equally good Chana Battura. A great choice for Indian Cuisine and vegetarian-friendly to boot.

The Lucky Star Restaurant has been around for years offering really well-priced eats and friendly service.

Beer and Quality Meets (BQM) is self described as a “champion of hand crafted burgers, bourbon and craft beer. With over 30 uniques beers, curated and selection of bourbons and spirits and an exciting menu they certainly have the skills to pair your burger, sandwich or salad with the perfect drink.

THE SIT-DOWN

If a sit-down lunch is what you’re after then check out these great spots:

From the peasant table of the Old World to your table in the New World, The Peasant Table is a place where the chefs truly cook with love. Some of the highlights for lunch here are the burrata and the beef carpaccio!

Carribbean Sunset is Toronto’s fast casual destination for island eats with a little added cocktail lounge flair. They offer quick takeout combos of Caribbean staples like chicken dishes and curries along with seafood and veggie options.

With all these great options (and SO MUCH MORE!) available during The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside, it’s definitely hard to pick just one, but not to worry, you’re always welcome back for more! Be sure to snap and share a picture of your experience in any of our neighbourhood spots with hashtag #‎RiversideTO.
